life, you are welcome to join the admission information seminars to be
held during June to early September 99. Unless specified, seats
are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. (Arrangements in adverse
weather conditions: If the Typhoon Signal No. 8 or the Black Rainstorm
Signal is lowered two hours before the start time of a seminar, the activity
will be held as scheduled.)

A general introduction will be given at the beginning of the seminar to
all students registered for programmes
offered by the Schools of Arts & Social Sciences, Business & Administration,
Science & Technology, and the
Centre for Continuing and Community Education. Afterwards, the Schools/Centre
will organize separate
sessions.
(A campus tour will also be included for the seminar held on 5 Jun 99.).

## 「學分承認」是指：學生在其他專上院校課程取得的成績透過申請和審核，如獲承認，可作
為
本校所需修讀學分的一部份。這些學分可能會計算在總學分之內，使同學可以縮短修讀課程的時
間。 此講座將介紹本校的三種學分承認制度：一般學分承認(GCT)，特定學分承認(SCT)及整體
學分承認 (BCT)。參加資格：凡在其他專上院校已修畢某項課程而又欲申請學分承認的同學，
均可參加。(本校教育榮譽學士課程 、護理學榮譽學士課程，及研究院課程，不設學
分承認。)
Advanced standing is the recognition of prior studies that were successfully
completed at a recognized tertiary
institution. OUHK may award you transferred credits in respect of
these studies towards your OUHK
programme of study so that your duration of study can be considerably shortened.
This seminar will introduce
the three types of credit transfer offered by the
University: General Credit Transfer (GCT), Specific Credit
Transfer (SCT) and Block Credit Transfer (BCT). Suitable
for: Students who have successfully completed
post A-level course(s) in any other
institutions and wish to apply for credit transfer could come to the seminar.
(However, no credit transfer is allowed for Bachelor
of Education (Hons), Bachelor of Nursing(Hons),
and post-graduate programmes.)
